One of CALS Tailgate’s great traditions is raising funds for student scholarships.  For many years, Tailgate attendees have participated in a silent auction that benefited the CALS Alumni and Friends Society scholarship fund. This endowed scholarship provides four CALS students with financial aid every year.

 

2015 CALS Tailgate will feature a brand new tradition – a t-shirt sale to benefit the CALS Alumni and Friends Society scholarship fund -- but this will be no ordinary t-shirt. The CALS Alumni and Friends Society held a contest for students to design a t-shirt featuring the theme, "When you are fed, thank someone who wears RED!" The design will be printed on a “Cotton of the Carolinas” t-shirt, making it truly one of a kind.  $10 from every t-shirt sale will go directly to the scholarship fund. 

 

The finalist in our design contest was Hayley Sullivan a Junior in Animal Science. Her winning design was inspired by the Commodity Groups in North Carolina.

 

IF YOU ARE ATTENDING CALS TAILGATE - T-Shirts will be available for pick-up at Registration the day of Tailgate.

 

IF YOU ARE NOT ATTENDING CALS TAILGATE - T-Shirts will be mailed beginning the week of October 12, 2015.
